Our Play Frank Casino review: closed for good

PlayFrank Casino closed on 30 June 2026. Its own website now shows a closure notice, and the UK Gambling Commission register lists www.playfrank.com as inactive. You can no longer sign up, deposit, claim a bonus or play there, so this PlayFrank Casino review covers three things: what happened, what to do if you still have money with the casino, and what PlayFrank offered while it was open.

PlayFrank was a licensed casino for its whole life, not a scam. It was run by AG Communications Limited, the UK company of Aspire Global, under a UK Gambling Commission licence and a Malta Gaming Authority licence. It closed because its owner left the white-label business. The operator's record isn't spotless, though: in February 2025 it paid £1.4 million in a settlement with the Gambling Commission over anti-money-laundering and player-protection failings.

Worth knowing: PlayFrankCasino.com is an independent comparison site. We were never part of PlayFrank, AG Communications or Aspire Global, and we can't see or unlock player accounts. If you have a balance, contact the operator directly, as described below.

Who this PlayFrank review is for

  • Former PlayFrank players with a balance, a pending withdrawal or an open complaint.
  • Anyone who searched for Play Frank and wants to know whether the casino still exists.
  • Players looking for a new casino with the things PlayFrank was known for: NetEnt and Play'n GO slots, live game shows and a simple welcome bonus.

How we reviewed a closed casino

A closed casino can't be tested with a real account, so this review doesn't pretend to be one. It is built from primary sources, checked on 11 October 2026, and from reviews written while the casino was still open:

  • The closure notice: we opened www.playfrank.com and recorded where it now leads, the date, the operator and the contact routes it gives.
  • The UK Gambling Commission register: we checked AG Communications Limited (account 39483), its licence status, its regulatory actions, its trading names and all 78 domain names listed under it.
  • The operator's statement: iGaming Business Affiliate (iGBA) published Aristocrat Interactive's statement on closing the white-label business that ran PlayFrank.
  • The dispute route: we read eCOGRA's page on alternative dispute resolution, which the closure notice names.
  • PlayFrank Casino reviews from before the closure: we compared the bonus terms, payment methods and game details in several reviews. Where only one of them gives a detail, we say so. Many Play Frank Casino reviews still describe the casino as open, so we only used what they say about its terms.

The screenshots on this page were taken on 11 October 2026. If the operator changes its notice or the contact address, we'll update this review.

Why Play Frank Casino closed

PlayFrank wasn't closed on its own. It was one of dozens of casinos that ran on Aspire Global's white-label platform, where one company holds the licences, runs payments and support, and the brands sit on top. Aristocrat Interactive, which owns Aspire Global, decided to leave that business.

Aristocrat told iGBA that it was shutting its white-label casino operations in the UK and would stop offering the service to customers worldwide, with the change expected to take effect on 30 June 2026. The reason it gave was that the white-label operations "are not core to its growth strategy".

11 October 2026The UKGC register lists www.playfrank.com and all 78 domains under AG Communications as inactive

Some brands on the platform said they would move to another white-label provider and come back later. PlayFrank hasn't announced a return, and no new PlayFrank site appears on any licence we checked.

PlayFrank withdrawals and balances after the closure

The closure notice gives one address for everything that is still open: [email protected]. Write there if you had money in your PlayFrank account, a withdrawal that never arrived or a bonus dispute. The PlayFrank login no longer works, because the domain only shows the notice, so the email is the only way in.

  1. Write to the support address with the email address and name on your PlayFrank account, your balance and the date of any pending withdrawal.
  2. Attach what you have: screenshots of your balance, withdrawal confirmations or bank statements showing deposits.
  3. Keep a copy of every email and reply, with dates.
  4. Wait for the final response, or for 8 weeks if you don't get one.
  5. Take it to eCOGRA: the closure notice names eCOGRA as the dispute provider. Referring a case is free.

Play Frank Casino complaints: when eCOGRA can help

eCOGRA is an independent dispute service approved by the UK Gambling Commission. Every UKGC-licensed casino must appoint one, and PlayFrank's was eCOGRA. You can refer your PlayFrank complaint if you are unhappy with the operator's final response, or if 8 weeks have passed since you raised it.

eCOGRA's Alternative Dispute Resolution page with sections for Malta and the United Kingdom
eCOGRA's dispute page. Under United Kingdom it says that every business licensed by the Gambling Commission must appoint a dispute resolution body, and that eCOGRA is one approved by the Commission.

Keep it factual: what you expected, what happened and the amounts. A complaint with dates and screenshots is much easier to resolve than a general one.

Was PlayFrank Casino legit? Licence and operator

PlayFrank was licensed and regulated for as long as it operated, so it was not a scam. The casino was run by AG Communications Limited, which the UK Gambling Commission lists under account number 39483, with its head office in St Julians, Malta. Reviews written before the closure also give its Malta Gaming Authority licence, MGA/CRP/148/2007.

The company's remote casino licence is still active, with the reference 039483-R-319409-019. The closure notice gives the older reference, 039483-R-319409-018. The licence itself didn't end: the brands under it did. In the register, every one of its 78 domain names is inactive, www.playfrank.com included, and the only trading name left is "aspireglobal".

The 2025 settlement with the Gambling Commission

The register also records one regulatory action against AG Communications Limited. A review of its licence found failings in its anti-money-laundering and social-responsibility controls between May 2023 and October 2024. The breaches included customer interaction, identifying customers and self-exclusion. On 4 February 2025 the company agreed to pay £1,407,834 in lieu of a financial penalty, plus the Commission's costs.

The settlement covered the whole licence, so it applied to every brand on the platform and not to PlayFrank alone. It is not the reason PlayFrank closed: that was Aristocrat Interactive's decision to leave the white-label business.

Is PlayFrank safe to use today?

No, because there is nothing to use. Be careful with sites that still advertise PlayFrank bonuses, codes or a "PlayFrank app". The real casino has closed, so these are old affiliate pages at best. Never enter card details or documents on a site that claims to be PlayFrank.

Play Frank Casino bonus and free spins

The last PlayFrank bonus for UK players was a match on the first deposit. These are the terms as given in reviews published shortly before the closure:

Play Frank Casino free spins50 on Starburst
Minimum deposit£20
Wagering35x the bonus and the free-spin winnings
Maximum bet with bonus funds£4

Outside the UK, one review lists a three-step package in euros of up to €300 and 200 free spins, starting with 100% up to €100 and 50 free spins. Back in 2017–2018, the fan site that used to run on this domain advertised up to €400 and 200 free spins over three deposits.

Play Frank Casino no deposit bonus

There was no regular PlayFrank no deposit bonus. None of the reviews we checked lists one, and the welcome offer always needed a deposit. Existing players got daily challenges, the Daily Spin Frenzy free-spin promotion and Mystery Masters. Loyal players could be invited to an invite-only Loyalty Club.

PlayFrank Casino bonus code and promo code

No PlayFrank bonus code or promo code works today, because there is no casino to use it at. The welcome bonus never needed a code. Any page that offers a "PlayFrank promo code" now is out of date.

PlayFrank Casino slots, live casino and payments

PlayFrank was mainly a slots casino, with games from NetEnt, Play'n GO, Yggdrasil, Stakelogic and Blueprint Gaming among others. One review from June 2026 counted about 2,800–3,000 games from more than 35 providers. Next to the slots were jackpot games, Slingo and table games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat.

PlayFrank live casino

The PlayFrank live casino was small. It focused on game shows such as Crazy Time and Money Time, and it had live poker variants and sic bo next to the usual blackjack and roulette tables.

PlayFrank Casino mobile and app

There was never a native PlayFrank Casino app. The PlayFrank online casino ran in the phone's browser on Android and iOS instead. That PlayFrank mobile casino used the same account, games and cashier as on a computer. If you find a "PlayFrank app" download today, it doesn't come from the operator.

The minimum withdrawal was £10. E-wallets and Trustly paid out within minutes to 24 hours, and debit cards took up to 3 working days. Today the only way to get money out is through the support address in the closure notice.

Play Frank sister sites

PlayFrank's sister sites were the other casinos on Aspire Global's platform, all run by AG Communications Limited. The UK register lists 78 domains under the company, and on 11 October 2026 every one of them was inactive. That includes these well-known PlayFrank sister sites:

Sister siteStatus in the UKGC register
KarambaInactive
HopaInactive
Mr PlayInactive
Magic RedInactive
Red CasinoInactive
Neptune PlayInactive
24SpinInactive
CasinoLuckInactive
LucklandInactive
SpinShakeInactive
Hot7CasinoInactive
WildslotsInactive

So moving to a PlayFrank sister site isn't an option either: under this licence, they are all closed in the UK. If you had an account at one of them, the same advice applies: contact the operator and keep eCOGRA in mind.

Alternatives to PlayFrank for UK players

If you liked PlayFrank, look for the same basics: a UK Gambling Commission licence, slots from NetEnt and Play'n GO, live game shows, PayPal or Trustly withdrawals and a simple welcome offer. We compare ten UKGC casinos where we registered, made a deposit and requested a £20 withdrawal:

  • BetMGM: 200 wager-free spins after a £10 qualifying deposit.
  • MrQ: advertises 60-second withdrawal processing, with slots, bingo and live casino.
  • LeoVegas: Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and bank transfer in the cashier.
  • William Hill: instant chat and verification done in minutes in our test.

Before you sign up anywhere, check the licence holder and the website in the UKGC public register, just as we did for PlayFrank. Our checklist on how to choose an online casino covers the rest.

PlayFrank: pros and cons

  • Licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority for as long as it operated.
  • A clear route for leftover money: the support email in the closure notice and free dispute resolution with eCOGRA.
  • While it was open: a 100% match up to £100 with 50 free spins on Starburst at 35x wagering.
  • Slots from NetEnt, Play'n GO and Yggdrasil, and live game shows such as Crazy Time.
  • Closed since 30 June 2026: no sign-ups, deposits, bonuses or play.
  • Its sister sites under the same licence are inactive in the UK too.
  • The operator paid £1.4 million in a 2025 settlement over money-laundering and player-protection failings.

Conclusion of our Play Frank review

PlayFrank was a licensed, mainstream slots casino that closed on 30 June 2026 because Aristocrat Interactive left the white-label business behind it. It wasn't a scam, and it didn't lose its licence, although its operator paid a £1.4 million settlement to the Gambling Commission in 2025.

If you have money there: email [email protected] with your account details and evidence, and refer the case to eCOGRA if the final response doesn't solve it or 8 weeks pass.

If you came here from older Play Frank reviews, the short version is: the casino is gone, the licence holder still answers, and eCOGRA is there if it doesn't.

If you're looking for a new casino: start with the UK casinos above: every one is listed in the UKGC register and we made a real deposit and requested a withdrawal at each one.
