New Curacao licence for dbdbet.com and hi5win.com, but neither casino is live yet

The Curacao Gaming Authority (CGA) has added ApexBet Gaming N.V. to its register of online gambling licensees. The licence covers two casino domains, dbdbet.com and hi5win.com. When we checked on 19 October 2026, neither site was online. [1][2]

The names will look familiar to many players: dbdbet sounds like the sportsbook DBbet, and hi5win sounds like High 5 Casino. The official records show they are different companies. Here is what the licence covers, what we expect when the sites open and how to check any Curacao licence yourself.

The licence at a glance

The certificate confirms that ApexBet Gaming N.V. is licensed under Curacao's National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK), the law behind the 2024 licensing reform. Licences issued under it carry either an OGL/2024 or, like this one, a newer CGA/2025 prefix. [1][2]

Two domains, no casino yet

Both domains were registered in August 2024: dbdbet.com on 4 August and hi5win.com on 6 August. [4][5] On 19 October 2026 neither address loaded a website, so there are no games, bonuses or payment methods to review yet.

That is not unusual. A Curacao licence names the domains an operator may use, and some licensees secure the licence first and launch later. The licence has now been in place since April, though, so the launch is taking longer than for most new operators. [2]

Not DBbet, not High 5 Casino

If you search for these names, you will mostly find reviews of other brands. They are different businesses:

  • DBbet runs at db-bet.com. Its licensee is Sport Tech N.V. (company number 163475) under licence OGL/2024/574/0913, and that certificate lists db-bet.com as its only domain, and dbdbet.com is not on it. [3]
  • High 5 Casino runs at high5casino.com under a different company and does not appear in the CGA register at all. [1]

Ratings, bonuses and player complaints written about DBbet or High 5 Casino therefore say nothing about dbdbet.com or hi5win.com. The only reliable link between a website and a licence is the domain list on the CGA certificate.

What to expect when dbdbet and hi5win launch

Nothing about the product has been announced, so the following is what we usually see from a new Curacao online casino, not a confirmed feature list:

  • a slot library from international game studios, plus live dealer tables
  • card payments and e-wallets alongside crypto deposits
  • a welcome package spread over the first deposits, with wagering requirements

The word "bet" in dbdbet hints at a sportsbook, but that is only a guess until the site opens. When either casino goes live, we will check the licence number in the footer against the certificate and look at the cashier, the bonus terms and the withdrawal limits before we write anything about the offer.

What it means for UK players

A Curacao licence is not a UK Gambling Commission licence, and Curacao casinos are not part of GamStop. If you play at overseas casinos accepting UK players, the deposit limits and time-outs are yours to set in the account. Expect identity checks before your first withdrawal.

How to check a Curacao licence yourself

  1. Find the licence number in the casino's footer. It should start with OGL/2024 or CGA/2025.
  2. Click the licence seal. On a licensed site it opens a certificate on cert.cga.cw, the CGA's own domain.
  3. Compare the company name and number on the certificate with the casino's terms and conditions.
  4. Check that the exact domain you are on is in the certificate's list of approved domains. A domain that differs by one letter or a hyphen is not covered.
  5. For a second check, look the company up in the CGA register. [1][2]

Licensed operators also have to follow the Curacao crypto casino rules if they accept coins, which is worth knowing if you plan to deposit in Bitcoin or USDT.
